A girl and her books

For those of you who don't know, I'm the oldest of eight wild, unruly children, 6 girls and 2 boys. Half of us are all grown up (sorta) , and the other half is rapidly catching up. My sister Camille, number 5 in the lineup, is 17 years old and is getting ready to start her senior year in high school. She loves to read books, and she draws her own cartoon character named Albert. She hopes to go to college on the West Coast, but I'm holding out hope she decides to study abroad so her big sister can come visit her! Camille is smart, beautiful, and wickedly sarcastic; but secretly she has a heart of gold, shhhh....don't tell anyone her dark secret.
Camille will be joining me on, 'The Epic Summer Road Trip,' and we have decided we will attempt to take a senior portrait in every state we visit, but before we begin our grand adventures, we decided we had to do at least one shoot in Wyoming. Our family moved to Wyoming in 2006, and we quickly fell in love with Vedauwoo, a gorgeous, rocky paradise unlike anything back home in Missouri. Over the years, we have camped and hiked at Vedauwoo, and lots of good memories have been made; most recently, the time our sister Emily fell down a small hill in her camp chair. It only seems fitting Camille has at least a few of her senior portraits taken here, and they turned out so swoon-worthy, I think we made the right call.

Nobody rocks a hat quite like Camille
The evening was perfect for a gorgeous shoot with my beautiful sister, the clouds were cloudy and dramatic, but the sun kept peeping through. I had my two assistants, Brand and Bethany, taking shots, holding my reflector, making Camille laugh as I made her pose in 'awkward' positions to get that perfect angle. The light, the books, and most of all, the girl, all came together to create stunning images that portray the smart, beautiful girl who will take the world by storm. Good luck, Camille, I know you are going to rock at this whole life thing!
